This blanket is made from two panels which have been mirrored and stitched together down the centre by hand, reminiscent of the sectioned storm defence beaches at Pett Level, East Sussex. I made a series of drawings by lying on my back and looking up, of a pair of Buzzards flying over Hastings Country Park and translated some of these lines onto the blanket. The blacks, browns and orange coming from seaweed, driftwood and washed up fishing line collected at the beach.

The blanket measures 190cm x 190cm. It has a lovely weight and makes a superb cosy wrap for sitting outdoors in the colder months.
