Soay, Boreray & Norfolk Horn Stripe

Soay, Boreray, Norfolk Horn woven in delicate stripes on a Swaledale base warp. Backed with Devon Cream Yorkshire milled Linen/Cotton.

Boreray sheep are on the endangered breeds list - there are only a few hundred in existence. Soay sheep are mostly feral and closely resemble their ancient ancestors, as they have never mixed with domestic breeds. Their mixed wool is so soft and delicate, like Cashmere. Norfolk Horn sheep are also on the at risk list.
