New Exclusive Collection for The Shop Floor Project. March 01 2016

I've just finished and sent off my new collection for 'The Shop Floor Project'. Following on from 'Made for the Snow' this one is called 'From the Mountains'. It's a simplified and modern take on shepherds, flocks and the terrain of the Lake District.

All of the fabric is woven in a variation of Shepherds Check (also known as Border Tartan) - an ancient fabric construction that dates back to the Roman times.

Made with Swaledale, Herdwick, Yak, Wensleydale and Romney Marsh wools, you'll be able to buy them online soon...

Back in the Saddle! November 15 2015

I've had a bit of time off to welcome a new addition into the fold and to relocate to the coast. I'm now getting back to work in my new garden studio and sampling some new designs to be launched this Spring.

First up - some new colours in the Arboretum range. Some new trees are on the way too.

New studio with a view!

Workshop at the V&A, March 23rd & 24th 2013 April 19 2013

Emily Peacock and I were honoured to be invited to teach a weekend embroidery workshop at the V&A.

We worked everybody very hard and gave them three projects to work on covering a wide range of techniques and styles. For two of the projects, we took our inspiration from the beautiful ceramic staircase at the V&A. The third project was all about colour.

Here's some of the feedback that we received...

-The passion and talent of the tutors were great-happy to pass on experience and knowledge
-The two Emilies were so relaxed and fun.  If all the courses are like this, I am going to have empty pockets!  It's been fantastic!
-Both teachers were generous, available, sense of humour, really knowledgeable-fantastic.
-Challenged me to learn something new.  Wonderful relaxed and friendly atmosphere.  Very much enjoyed all 3 projects

I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to be back there again soon armed with another set of projects to teach!

The Shop Floor Project - Live Weaving!! Feb 15th 2013 April 16 2013

I was thrilled to be invited to do a live weaving evening at The Shop Floor in Ulverston. Every one got to have a go on my trusty loom and  I answered many technical questions. I hope it was informative!

Hearts & Crafts Week, Feb 14th 2013 April 16 2013

The Lakeland Arts Trust invited me to deliver a weaving workshop at Blackwell Arts & Crafts House on Lake Windermere.

It was a wonderful day, and we had a great day working in the White Room, watching the skies change every ten minutes. They were all naturals!

Handmade Hangout at Strummerville April 16 2013

The lovely Jazz Domino Holly invited me to hold an embroidery workshop at her Handmade Hangout at Strummerville in beautiful Somerset. It was good fun!
