Working with constructed textiles and sculpture, materials and environment are intrinsic to my practice. I seek out and use predominantly natural materials: homegrown, vintage, discarded and foraged, creating pieces which combine different mediums that I adapt according to the unique properties and limits of each.
I explore the notion of belonging via the abstract visual recording of places past and present - through textures, patterns, colours and shapes and I consider our interconnectedness, through our own ancestors and to each other and our affinity with and reliance on the natural world.
